I’ve spent a lot of years theoretically “being my own boss,” including more than 10 years as sole proprietor business planning consultant, working on my own with clients and more than 10 years building a company, as founder and owner, working with employees. I’ve called it a myth before, but half-truth is better because there are some real positives with being your own boss.īut naturally, there are a number of negatives, too. I will definitely utilize them again when I have workwear needs. One of the more common half-truths of startups and entrepreneurship is the one about being your own boss. I do a lot of online purchases(50-75 a year probably)and you never know what kind of service you get as far as delivery times, response to tracking, communication etc. That may straighten out after breaking in more and a wash? I will say dealing with Trusted Gear has been a pleasure and when I contacted them about returning the original size, Josh was very attentive and helpful. The only flaw I’ve found is some bunching up creases in the lower front from bending/squatting down and it folding since it hangs to crotch area. It’s a little too warm for casual use or work above 45 degrees in my opinion.

The sleeves are plenty long, which is always a concern when you have monkey arms! I’m only 2 weeks into wearing it, but I have high hopes for it. Collar is a bit tall, but you don’t deal with drafts coming in(I’m 17 years at Costco and stock the cooler 35-38 degrees and 6 36” fans blowing continuously.) The extended tail is nice, along with the button closure over main zipper. These run big, I had to go to a medium and based off fit might have been able to roll a small! Didn’t see that coming, but very happy overall. I ordered up and first one was my standard size L. This popped up on my Instagram feed and it instantly called to me.

I was in need of a new work jacket and didn’t want the same old run of the mill selections.
